Basic questions about CBD and THC

CBD also called cannabidiol, is a plant substance extracted from the hemp plant. Cannabis plants contain many active substances. 80 of them occur specifically in the cannabis plant and are therefore called cannabinoids. Cannabidiol (CBD) thus belongs to the cannabinoids. The human body has an endocannabinoid system (ECS), through which the cannabinoids are absorbed by the human body via receptors and develop their effect there. The endocannabinoid system has not yet been conclusively investigated. However, it is thought to be involved in the regulation of physiological and cognitive processes, including fertility, pregnancy, pre- and postnatal development, various immune system activities, appetite, pain perception, mood, memory, and in mediating the pharmacological effects of cannabis. The ECS plays an important role in several aspects of neuronal function. Notable ones include control of movement and motor coordination, learning, memory, emotion, motivation, addictive behavior, and pain modulation.

Cannabis products that have a THC content of less than 1% are legal in Switzerland. Our products are tested for this. Analyses and certificates for the products can be found in our store and can be downloaded. All our products have been approved by the BAG (Federal Office of Public Health).

In contrast to CBD, the cannabinoid THC has a psychoactive effect. Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) has an intoxicating effect on the human psyche. For this reason, it is prohibited by law. In Switzerland, cannabis products are allowed to contain a maximum value of 1% THC. In the EU, this maximum value is even 0.2%. Therefore, so-called industrial hemp is often used in the production of cannabis products.

For legal reasons, we must advise against the use of CBD-containing products. All products that are currently in our online store are not approved as medicinal or food products. We are therefore not allowed to recommend the intake or even give you dosage information. We therefore ask you to consult a doctor of your confidence and to deal more deeply with the subject of CBD.

We try to place your order with Swiss Post within one business day. After that you will receive an automatic shipping confirmation with the corresponding tracking of the Swiss Post.

As a customer, you have the right, without giving any reason, to return the received goods to us within 14 days of receipt, and we will refund the purchase price under the following conditions:

  • Closed/sealed goods are returned unopened

In the event of wear and tear, loss of value or damage to the goods, for example due to improper handling, calma swiss Gmbh reserves the right to reduce the purchase price or to demand appropriate compensation.

The purchase price will be refunded only after receipt of the goods. Calma swiss GmbH does not assume any costs for the return. This is entirely at the expense of the customer.
